Coaching

I coach strength, running, and hybrid training for people who want steady progress without hype. Plans are built around a real week (work, family, sleep), with weekly check-ins and updates as needed. Everything is online. Strength is delivered via Hevy and running via VDOT O2. Nutrition is simple habits (Precision Nutrition L1), not meal plans.

Strength coaching with Hevy

Strength coaching is for people who want to lift well, move better and feel stronger in daily life. We focus on basic movements, progressive training and sessions that fit into a working week.

What you get

  • A strength plan built in Hevy based on your experience and equipment
  • Three or four training days per week, adjusted around work and family
  • Weekly written check-ins and plan updates as needed
  • One short video or voice review per month if you want feedback on form

Who this suits

You have some training history, or you are willing to learn the basics safely. You want a clear plan and someone to hold you to it without shouting or hype.

Running coaching with VDOT O2

Running coaching is for road and trail runners who want structure and steady improvement. We use VDOT O2 to set training paces and build twelve-week blocks around your current fitness and races.

What you get

  • A tailored running plan in VDOT O2 with easy, threshold and interval work
  • Training paces based on your current race results or time trials
  • Weekly written feedback and adjustments based on how you feel and perform
  • Support with race choice, pacing strategy and tapering

Who this suits

You can already run a few times a week and want more structure. You want a coach who respects your job, family and sleep, and who will adjust training instead of forcing you through a template.

Hybrid coaching: strength, running and nutrition together

Hybrid coaching brings strength, running and simple nutrition into one plan. This is my main offer and where I do my best work. We keep the plan aligned to your actual life and update it each month.

What you get

  • Strength program in Hevy and running plan in VDOT O2
  • Basic nutrition coaching using Precision Nutrition habits, not meal plans
  • Weekly written check-ins and one call per month
  • Adjustments for work travel, kids, stress and injuries.

Who this suits

You want to feel stronger, run better and eat in a way that supports all of that. You do not want extreme diets or constant maxing out. You want a coach who will be honest, patient and consistent.

How coaching works

  1. Initial email
    • You email me at mail@petesimon.com and tell me where you are now, what you want help with and what your week looks like.
  2. Call
    • We set up a short video or phone call to see if we are a good fit and decide which coaching path makes the most sense.
  3. Setup
    • I set up your plans in Hevy and VDOT O2 where needed, and we agree on check-in days and a first twelve-week block.
  4. Training and review
    • You train, send updates, and we adjust. Every month we review progress against your goals.

I keep my roster small so I can respond properly. If I do not have space when you contact me, I will tell you.

Coaching FAQ’s

Do you coach beginners?

Yes, if you are willing to start small and focus on basics. I will be clear if I think in-person coaching near you would be safer for your situation.

Do you write meal plans?

No. I use habits and simple structure based on Precision Nutrition Level 1. You keep control of what you eat. We work on routines you can stick to with work and family.

Do you coach In Person?

No. All coaching is online.

How fast can we start?

Usually within 24–48 hours.

Once you get in touch (or fill in the form), I’ll confirm availability and send a short onboarding questionnaire. As soon as that’s done, I’ll build your first week and get you set up in Hevy (strength) and/or VDOT O2 (running). If I’m full, I’ll tell you straight away and offer a waitlist or a start date.
